Things to do in The Sea Ranch

While staying at an Ocean View Properties vacation home you are certainly able to find a variety of activities in Sea Ranch just steps away from the door of your vacation home.  The Sea Ranch has over 40 miles of hiking trails (includes 8 miles right along the coastal bluff). There are also three recreation centers available for swimming, tennis and other indoor and outdoor activities. The following is an outline of the recreation centers available to you while staying in one of our vacation rental homes in The Sea Ranch. Of course, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact a reservationist at Beach Rentals for additional information.

Del Mar Center

Has a large outdoor heated pool. Specific times are set a side for lap and aquatic exercise leaving other times for open swimming. This facility has saunas and 2 tennis courts

Ohlson Recreation Center

Open during the summer months. Has a large outdoor heated pool. Specific times are set a side for lap and aquatic exercise leaving other times for open swimming. This facility has saunas and 3 tennis courts. There is also a half-court basketball and volley ball court. (guests are asked to bring their own sports equipment as it is not provided.)

Moonraker Recreation Center

Small outdoor heated pool. Specific times are set a side for lap and aquatic exercise leaving other times for open swimming. This facility has saunas and a tennis court.

The Sea Ranch Library

The library is part of the Ohlson Recreation Center and is located in the Ohlson Ranch House. The motto – “Donate, borrow, and return”. Open daily 8 am – 6 pm

“The Hot Spot”

Located on the Gualala River on the south east end of The Sea Ranch. Picnic tables and barbecue available. Subject to seasonal closure.

Maps and Guides

Sea Ranch trail maps and guide booklets are available for purchase through The Sea Ranch Association Office. These items include information on home locations, streets, beach and bluff access, trails, parking areas, etc. The guide booklets contain information about wildlife, marine life, trails/walks, wildflowers and the history and development of The Sea Ranch.
